Sept 1 - 5

We had such a wonderful week!

In ELA, we began our genre study on expository nonfiction.  Students enjoyed exploring the texts and finding similarities in our books.  Each group had a basket full of interesting texts to choose from each day!  We loved learning new facts and talking about text features.

In math, fourth grade finished up basic multiplication.  This week, students will begin relating division and multiplication.  Fifth grade finished up rounding and estimation.  They are moving to multiplication of double digits.

In science/social studies, students prepared for and attended Native American Day!  You can see pictures from our adventure on our Facebook page!  Native American Day Pictures

This week, our fifth grade will be going to Camp Explore at the 4-H camp.  We hope they have fun and learn a lot of new information!  We can't wait to hear about all of their stories!
